We will create a minimum of 10 apprenticeships throughout the build-out of the Exemplar.
How do apprenticeships work?
There are three parts to an apprenticeship:
- NVQ – think of this as your practical part of your driving test. It’s a way of seeing how well you do the practical part of the role in the workplace. You will progress and build skills as you work.
- Diploma – this shows your understanding of the theory side which you will study at college. You will be tested on your knowledge as you go.
- Functional Skills – these skills you will use in your everyday working life. You will focus on how to communicate effectively and use numeracy on a daily basis.
Am I eligible?
There is no entry requirement for an Apprenticeship with the CITB, applicants however do need to apply on the bconstructive website . You will need to be living in England and not taking part in full-time education. Apprenticeships are open to all age groups above 16 years old whether you are just leaving school or want a career change.
Will I get paid?
You will be paid an hourly rate while both on site and at college, the rate of pay will be dependant on you age.
Our training provider will pay all of your course and exam fees and can offer funding for travel expenses.
